I know someone who is comfortable telling someone that their "opinions are wrong."

Well apparently he's not the first or only one to bring about what some concider an insulting point.

"Error of opinion may be tolerated," he declared, "where reason is left free to combat it." --Jefferson

recent thoughts

appearance. why. to please who.

ourselves. society. God.

  • when the later is met, then is final judgment made by appearance.
  • too often.
  • where are they parallel.
  • can they all agree, or is that the only point when ur truly in the right b/c ur thoughts and desires are those similar to God.
  • or does the fact that society thinks it is wrong, rule out any possibility of a guilt free action.
  • is no thought processed passed the point of social acceptence.

What an awesome wkend besides the fact that it’s over. It was really nice to just relax and not have anything to stress over besides brake lights and a heap of laundry. I even got to work on my formerly non-existent tan and finish Evangelion (not simultaneously : )! It’s a real bummer (yes, in the butt) that parents can at times seem to lose the logic they tried to teach us. All will be resolved.

I'm still enjoying work, because I don't. Ok well, I show up but I’m basically the recorded voice you hear when you call any technology-on-par company. I even got to read a text book at work today!

Speaking of which, I started my first summer school class tonight. The first half of US history (I already took the second). It seems like it'll be alright. The prof is attempting a different approach than is typical. He had fun making all the class realize how little we really knew about history (pointing out, or more so bringing us to the conclusion that we're all dumb Americans), emphasizing that this class will be different than what you got from the high school coach : )

Recent Starbucks experience
_______

"you know that RULE! Never get your hair cut before a big event!"

"I don't shrink."

"She used be 5'3", now she's 5'1"

"People think I'm a model. Ya, I get that all the time."

"He's going to buy my after-prom outfit."

"I need to get some wedges."
_______

Contents of the Starbucks parking lot

Toyota, Honda, Cadillac, new to owner 2002 BMW 745LI, Toyota, Lexis, Pontiac, Lexis, pedal bike converted to a motor bike( wtf!)

_______

ok now, serious question...

What's the point of a tattoo on your lower back if you cover it with your lime green underwear coming out the top of your low-rise clam diggers?

I've just been converted.

Everyone should read more Chuch Palahnananaiuk.

Just for the record, the whether today is gray and clam with a splotch of chaos.

No more FORTRAN! Whoot! I finally finished my last project for my numerical analysis and programming class. That was a bear. But thanks to a close individual with a plethora of c knowledge far beyond my own, we managed to create some code of awesome.

ok, serious question...Who else can say their boyfriend will help her program in c and FORTRAN one day and then endure shoe shopping the next?

Pretty amazing if u ask me : )

I walk through trees and run into possums...

There are a few other things here at UTA that I found rather amusing today. On any computers available for student use, the desktop has the list of policies and procedures in regards to proper use. Check out some portions of this list...

-"If found, the user will be logged off."

-"Do not presume the expectation of privacy."

-"Abusers will be asked to leave."

- "Computers must not be left unattended."

-"Plead print responsibly" (my favorite. Wait a minute was that drink or print?)

Another way C-4 is like Jesus.....

ok, maybe just Aslan....

you know what I’m talking about, same birth date yada...yada.

well, the man himself got shaven. in preparation for a must succeed interview, his will was overcome by a woman. not any ordinary woman, but one of power, one of stature. What woman alone could alter any aspect of his beliefs and allow such a thing to happen?

the one that held the scissors.

to bad that woman isn't me : )

so, the side burns took a leave of absence. however, i venture to say they will soon return.

I find this even more amusing coupled with the fact that, when I was talking to my mom and told her about his interview and all, she asked, "Did he get rid of the sideburns?"

So, i'm pretty sure I haven't posted in forever, FOREVER. All is well, except for Speed's insides. He'll recover and hate the first six weeks he's not alowed to climb stairs. He's super funny when he's all doped up.

Being at UTA has been nice thus far. Nothing too tough yet. A few distractions, but I think I'll manage. The highlight of this weekend is going to be getting a washer and dryer. Hurray! I'm meeting people. A Will in my Materials Science class and a 14 year old version of Owen in my Intro to Engineering lab. Speeking of labs, I had to make a web page in that IntroEngr lab today. It made me giggle with its high coefficient of randomness.

Mine

Me: I just transfered from a small private school in Longview that no one has even heard of. It had a massive student body totaling 1200. Since I'm such a huge fan of the small school scene I decide I might try a school that actually offered the major I was most interested in. It's to bad I'm no longer living in some nursing home that that little school liked to refer to as a dorm. Instead of locking the crazys in they lock the crazys out.

I conveniently managed to take over some random appartment and find a roommate that was willing to risk her life to live with me. My only hope is that ironically enough it will save it. So every thing is golden except for the fact that my brother recently got in a motorcycle accident and is now short a peice of his lower intestine. Hey at least he was the cusion that kept the chick on the back from getting splatered on the pavement. All in all, I'm so happy!
